A face to remember – Westhill’s Maddie Elkins

This just in from the Wilton Invitational on Saturday: Westhill’s Maddie Elkins placed sixth out of 163 runners at the 20th cross country extravaganza in Wilton. She coasted the 2.5-mile course in 14 minutes, 36 seconds.
Last week, she also ran a strong race at Danbury, placing second out of 52 runners.

The Westhill High School cross country team put together a couple of strong individual efforts during their season-opening meet at Danbury on Wednesday afternoon.
Andrew Erskine won the boys meet in 14 minutes, six seconds, knocking off the Danbury field of runners, as well.
