Stamford edges Trinity in OT

Nick Hollendonner’s goal 18 seconds into overtime lifted the Stamford High ice hockey team to a 4-3 victory over Trinity Catholic Wednesday night at Terry Conners.
The Black Knights snapped a four-game losing streak and improved to 3-8 overall while the Crusaders had their modest two-game winning streak come to an end as they slipped to 4-8.
Trinity’s Ryan Doherty scored a goal to tie the score at 3-3 with 45 seconds left in the game to force overtime.
