DARIEN – On Saturday, the hockey team that chased the Blue Wave around Darien Ice Rink wearing purple and gold bore little resemblance to the Westhill team of earlier this year.

The Vikings outscored their opponents 54-25 while winning eight of their first 10 games but their current malaise has seen them score only eight goals in their last five games, all losses.

Westhill’s 4-1 loss to Darien has dropped them into 11th place in the FCIAC with only five games left.
